Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Apna Coach is a wellness coaching app operated by Viazero Labs Pvt Ltd, No. 472/7, Aspire Coworks, Balaji Arcade, A.V.S Compound, Koramangala VI Block, Bangalore South, Bengaluru 560095, Karnataka, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Apna Coach app and this website, and how we use and protect it.

Your coaches in Apna Coach are AI assistants, not human beings. Everything you send them is processed by the AI providers named in section 3.

2. Data we collect

• Phone number: used to create and secure your account via one-time password (OTP) login. We never store the OTP code itself.
• Profile and onboarding answers: the problem you want to work on, your goals, age range, gender, how severe the problem feels to you, and lifestyle details. Depending on the goals you pick, this can include health information (for example height, weight, sleep, skin or hair details), used to personalise your coaching.
• Chat messages with coaches: the conversations you have with your AI coaches. These are sent to the AI providers in section 3 to generate coaching replies, and relevant facts are extracted and stored so your coach can remember context in future conversations.
• Activity data: plans, challenges, streaks, tasks and guides you interact with inside the app.
• Device and usage data: app version, device model, crash reports, a push notification token, and usage analytics that help us fix bugs and improve the app.

We do not access your photos, contacts, or precise location.

3. Third-party processors

We use a small number of service providers to run Apna Coach:

• Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini): your chat messages and the profile context relevant to a conversation are sent to these AI providers to generate coaching replies, to summarise conversations, and to extract what your coach should remember.
• Google Firebase: Authentication (this is what sends your OTP SMS), Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Crashlytics (crash reports) and Remote Config.
• PostHog: product analytics (which features get used).
• Sentry: error monitoring on our servers, configured not to send personal data.
• Supabase: the database your account data is stored in.
• Linode: the servers our backend runs on.

Each provider only receives the data needed for its job and is bound by its own data-processing terms. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where your data is processed: your account database and our servers are in Mumbai, India. Analytics are processed in the European Union, and the AI providers above process your messages in the United States.

4. Why we use your data

• To provide personalised coaching, the core service you signed up for.
• To keep your account secure (OTP login).
• To fix crashes and improve features.
• To send you service messages, and, only with your permission, helpful reminders and notifications.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not show third-party ads.

5. What we coach on

Apna Coach is a general health & wellness app. Our coaches help with everyday fitness, nutrition and weight, sleep, everyday stress and relaxation, and cosmetic skin & hair care. We do not provide medical, mental-health, or intimate/reproductive health services, and our coaches do not diagnose or treat any medical condition.

The wellness details you share and the answers you give during onboarding form one general profile that your coaches use to guide you better. For anything clinical, our coaches will point you to a qualified professional.

6. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Profile tab (or by email). Deletion is immediate, except where law requires us to keep specific records longer.

7. Your rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@viazerolabs.com.

Grievance Officer: Nitin Anand, support@viazerolabs.com. We will acknowledge your grievance and resolve it within one month of receiving it.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to what each system needs, and accounts are protected by OTP verification. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with industry-standard measures.

9. Children

Apna Coach is intended for users aged 18 and above.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect.
